Our latest enterprise project for the wholesale shipping company IBC was built with Ruby on Rails ! This is the effort of a year’s worth of development for a truly enterprise application.

This project took our “rails-bending” (as Vermonster developer Doug likes to say) skills to an entire new level. We plan to post some of our technical discussions in the very near future.

Having worked with IBC over the last 6 months on this truly enterprise-level application, we’ve created a best-in-class solution for their wholesale shipping needs.

Some highlights include:

• Fully accessible markup following web standards
• DOM-compliant non-obtrusive javascript
• Full i18n (internationalization) support as the end users do not all speak English natively
• Multiple currency support for $USD, $CAD, etc.
• Highly-granular permissions for users and groups/roles
• Dynamic PDF report and document generation (from simple templates!)
• Integration with existing enterprise systems
